Laws

There are several locales which have laws (in various stages) which require Operating Systems themselves to perform some level of age verification and reporting.

Passed OS-Level Age Verification Laws: Brazil, & California.

Proposed OS-Level Age Verification Laws: U.S. Federal Law, Colorado, Illinois, & New York.

Withdrawn OS-Level Age Verification Laws: Michigan

Our position

ULFS is don't perform user's age validation/verification. ULFS is don't spying on user and don't limit users activity.

Umvirt developers are not reliable for any harm to children caused by ULFS nor localy nor remotely.

Age validation/verification is:

• increase memory & disk consumption & CPU load
• spying on user
• send data to third-party services
• limits user activity
• increase code which can be used for various attacks

If parents want to use ULFS by their children they can choose other GNU/Linux distribution or even operating system
